History

The Scapola family has been tied to the vine in the Daunia since 1890; the present estate, Borgo Turrito, was established in 2006 when Luca Scapola took over the family business at Borgo Incoronata, a hamlet of Foggia beside the Incoronata forest.

Across about twenty hectares the winery — a certified-sustainable (Equalitas) estate — makes some ninety thousand bottles a year, built around the native Nero di Troia with Aleatico and Falanghina.
