History

Poderi Marcarini goes back to the mid-nineteenth century and its founder Giuseppe Tarditi, and is now in the sixth generation of the family at La Morra.

It was a pioneer of the single-vineyard Barolo, using the Brunate name on the label already in 1958; from about twenty-five hectares it makes the Barolo Brunate and La Serra from an eighteenth-century cellar set against a medieval tower.
