History

Casale Vitali was founded in 1970 at Montelparo, in the hills of the southern Marche, by Alfredo and Giuliano Vitali, a sharecropping family who had become owners of their farmhouse and land; at first they raised livestock and grew fruit, then turned increasingly to wine.

Under Gabriele Vitali, the third generation, the estate now farms about twenty hectares of vineyard within some forty hectares of orchard and olive, making Falerio and Pecorino whites, Rosso Piceno reds and sparkling wines from native grapes; it took a Gran Medaglia Cangrande at Vinitaly in 2015.
