History
Fattoria Zerbina began in 1966 when Vincenzo Geminiani bought land above Marzeno and planted vines. His granddaughter Cristina Geminiani, who took over in 1987, made it the reference estate of Romagna, above all for sweet Albana. Her Scacco Matto, first released in 1987, uses botrytis (noble rot) in the manner of Sauternes and is the definitive Romagna Albana passito; her Sangiovese Pietramora set a modern benchmark for the grape in Romagna.
