History
The Ciabrelli family have farmed at Castelvenere, in the heart of the Sannio, since 1820; in 1976 Antonio Ciabrelli inherited the estate from his father Raffaele, gave it the name Fattoria Ciabrelli and made its first bottling.
An agronomist and oenologist, Antonio runs the roughly five-hectare estate with his wife Renata and their four children, working the native Barbera del Sannio and Falanghina in a long-standing effort to recover the area's old grape varieties.
