History

Cantina del Taburno was established in 1972 as a cooperative at Foglianise, at the base of Mount Taburno in the Sannio; in the early 1980s it was taken under the Consorzio Agrario di Benevento and enlarged. Uniting around three hundred members, it is a quality-focused co-op whose flagship is Aglianico del Taburno, including the powerful Bue Apis from old vines.
