Ramassin della Valle Bronda
Bronda Valley Ramassin

A small purple-blue damson, well known in Piedmont and almost unheard of elsewhere. The dialect name ramassìn traces to Damascus, and like all Syrian plums it is tough, which is why it was once planted to colonise difficult ground.
