History

The Illasi property was bought in 1920 by the lawyer Marco Trabucchi, and the family has grown traditional Valpolicella grapes there since 1924, passing down a culture of careful agriculture through the generations to Professor Giuseppe Trabucchi.

Set on morainal, stony hillsides at around 200 metres in the Val d'Illasi, the estate was certified organic in 1993, early for the zone, and worked with the oenologist Franco Bernabei.

In 2024 the renowned Dal Forno estate acquired Trabucchi d'Illasi; its 22 hectares produce Valpolicella Superiore, Amarone and Recioto.
