History
Tommaso Bussola's winemaking began in 1977 when, trained as a stonemason, he started working in his uncle Giuseppe's Valpolicella cellar between Negrar and San Peretto. He took the estate over in the mid-1980s, at first bottling under the 'BG' label.
A turning point came in 1992-93 with a new barrique cellar; the resulting top selections carried the 'TB' initials, which became synonymous worldwide with modern, concentrated Amarone and Recioto. Giuseppe Quintarelli once named Bussola as Valpolicella's next great star.
The estate, now passing to Tommaso's sons Giuseppe and Paolo, is celebrated above all for its Recioto and Amarone from old Classico vineyards.
