History
The Ottella estate at Peschiera has been in the Montresor family for over a century — recorded as the only Lugana producer in the province of Verona as far back as 1905, the first to make Lugana on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda.
The modern wine business was started by Lodovico Montresor, who combined a love of art with wine and was central to the founding of the Lugana DOC in 1967.
His sons Francesco and Michele — Francesco a former president of the Lugana consortium — now run the four-generation estate, whose best fruit comes from the San Benedetto di Lugana cru.
