History
Monte Tondo was founded in 1979 by Aldo Magnabosco on the volcanic hills of Soave, and expanded twenty years later by his son Gino. The estate takes its name from one of the hills it sits on.
Today Gino Magnabosco works the estate with his daughter Marta, farming about 32 hectares — roughly 22 in Soave Classico and 10 in the Valpolicella — on the slopes of Monte Tenda, Monte Foscarino and Monte Tondo.
The Garganega-driven Soaves range from fresh classico to structured crus like Casette Foscarin and Slavinus, made from volcanic-soil fruit.
