History
Le Ragose was founded in 1969 when the oenologists Arnaldo and Marta Galli bought 32 hectares of abandoned vineyard at the highest point of Valpolicella Classica, above Negrar, and replanted them.
Convinced these high sites were ideal for elegant, age-worthy Amarone, they worked as naturally as possible; Marta Galli, 'La Signora del Vino', was voted Winemaker of the World in 1990 for her role in re-establishing Valpolicella.
From the 1990s their sons Paolo and Marco guided the estate through consolidation, making Amarone and Valpolicella of great finesse.
