Italo Cescon

History

Italo Cescon founded his winery at Roncadelle di Ormelle in 1957, after military service, on the Raboso lands of the Piave.

From the start it stood out for choosing to bottle its own wine rather than sell in bulk - a far-sighted decision in a Piave then dominated by bulk trade - and a pursuit of quality over quantity.

Now led by Italo's children Gloria, Graziella and Domenico with their mother Chiara, the estate farms around 115 hectares and makes some 1.2 million bottles, with particular care for natives like Raboso Piave and the Manzoni crosses.
