History
Costadilà was founded in 2006 at Costa di là, a hamlet of Tarzo in the high hills above Conegliano, by Ernesto Cattel - who liked to call himself an 'articulator' rather than a winemaker - with Mauro Lorenzon.
It farms about seven hectares of small, steep parcels between 300 and 450 metres, organically, working the cellar with only wild yeasts.
Its flagship is a cloudy, skin-contact 'col fondo' sparkling from Glera - one of the wines that revived the historic bottle-refermented Prosecco - deliberately bottled outside the Prosecco DOC as a table wine named simply for its altitude ('280', '330', '450 s.l.m.').
