History
Corte Sant'Alda began in 1985, when Marinella Camerani left city life to restore her family's country house near Mezzane di Sotto, northeast of Verona, and turned to grape growing after an unsatisfying harvest.
Learning viticulture and winemaking largely from scratch, she built the estate into one of Valpolicella's reference points for natural and biodynamic wine, farming biodynamically since 2002 and earning Demeter certification.
The vineyards sit in the Val di Mezzane at 200 to 350 metres on limestone-rich soils, producing Amarone, Valpolicella Superiore and other wines from the classic local varieties.
