History
Corte Rugolin is an old rural estate in Marano, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, with buildings dating to the 1600s. The Coati family has made wine since 1918, when Giuseppe Coati worked the vines and his son Fortunato first made small quantities of Recioto and Amarone.
In 1971 Bruno Coati and his wife Silvia bought the property from Count Nuvoloni, and since 1998 their twins Elena and Federico Coati have run the estate.
Its Amarone comes from sites including the Monte Danieli cru, a small old-vine parcel at 320 metres in the Castelrotto hills.
