Giorgio Cecchetto founded the estate in 1994 at Tezze di Piave.

From the 1997 vintage he pioneered partial grape-drying for Raboso, making the Gelsaia cuvee.

That style became a direct forerunner of the Piave Malanotte DOCG; Cecchetto remains the leading champion of Raboso Piave.
