History
Cantina del Castello was established in 1961, based since the 1960s in the 13th-century Sanbonifacio Counts' Palace at Corte Pittora, in the heart of the medieval village of Soave beneath the Scaliger castle.
Arturo Stocchetti took over the winery and, since the 1980s, has led it toward showcasing the Soave terroir; he has served as president of the Soave consorzio.
The 13-hectare estate makes several cru Soaves — Classico, Carniga and the traditional-style Pressoni — from volcanic soils.
