History

Umbrian entrepreneur Leonardo Baccarelli chose an unspoilt spot near Todi in the early 1990s for a resort, spa and cellar, founding the Roccafiore winery in 1999.

A chance meeting with oenologist Hartmann Donà (formerly of Cantina Terlano) focused the project on native grapes.

Grechetto di Todi, clone G5, is the star; son Luca Baccarelli now heads the winery.
