Francesco Mariani left a career as a chef to return to Montefalco and farm his family's land, founding Raìna in 2002 with Andrea Mattioli.

The name 'Raìna' was the nickname of the previous owner of the first Sagrantino field.

Biodynamic since 2012 and organic-certified, using only copper, sulphur and plant infusions.
