History
Claudio Barbi bought the abandoned Decugnano land (documented from 1212) in 1973 and planted the first vineyards.
In 1978 he made the first wines, including an Orvieto Classico and Umbria's first Metodo Classico sparkling; in 1981 he made Italy's first botrytis (noble-rot) wine.
His son Enzo continues the estate today.
