History
The estate around Castel Turmhof has been in family hands since 1675 and a working winery since 1848; the site is documented back to 1225.
In 1972 a single vineyard of Müller Thurgau was planted at about 1,000 m on Fennberg; the first Feldmarschall von Fenner followed in 1974.
Now in its fifth generation under Sabine and Christof Tiefenbrunner, with its own hydroelectric plant since 1910.
