The Pacherhof is documented from 1142, before the nearby Novacella abbey was founded.

Josef Huber, who married into the Pacher family in 1849, became one of the pioneers of Isarco wine and the first to plant Kerner in the valley.

Today his great-grandson Andreas Huber runs the estate at Novacella.
