History

The Letrari family lineage in Trentino wine reaches back to 1647; Leonello Letrari, born 1931, created the Bordeaux-style Fojaneghe in 1961 while at Conti Bossi Fedrigotti and co-founded the Equipe 5 sparkling house.

Leonello and his wife Maria Vittoria founded the modern Cantina Letrari in Rovereto in 1976.

The estate is run today by his daughter Lucia, an oenologist, and his son Paolo Emilio.
