History

Alfons Giovanett founded Castelfeder in 1969 after studying at the San Michele all'Adige wine school.

In 1989 his son Gunther Giovanett took over and moved the operation to the small village of Kurtinig (Cortina sulla Strada del Vino) at the far south of Alto Adige.

The third generation now runs it: Ivan Giovanett as head winemaker and viticulture director, Ines Giovanett in sales and marketing.
