Cantina Kurtatsch was founded in 1900 at the historic manor Ansitz Freienfeld in the centre of Kurtatsch/Cortaccia.

Its 190 members farm 190 hectares across an unusually wide altitude band, allowing everything from warm-site reds to high-elevation whites.

Andreas Kofler became the youngest president in the history of Alto Adige cooperatives.
