History
In 1078 Matilde di Canossa gave Usigliano di Palaia to the bishops of Lucca; wine was documented here from 1083, giving the estate over 1,000 years of history.
New owners renovated the villa and ancient cellars from 2001, making sandy-soil reds and whites in the Colline Pisane.
