Wine and oil have been made at Castiglioncelli since the 1700s; the Cattaneo brothers, Vanni, Carlo and Marco, bought the estate in 2002.

Organic from 2004, it makes the Valdarno di Sopra DOC Sangiovese, such as the Vigna del Mulinaccio, along with Chianti.
