History
Historical records trace the estate's farm buildings to the late 1500s and early 1600s, when the land lay within the Barco Reale, the Medici family's hunting reserve; a stone marker dated 1696 was found near the current cellars during restoration.
The Cocci family acquired Tenuta La Borriana in the late 1980s and undertook a long restoration of the rural buildings and surrounding land, replanting vineyards that now produce Carmignano DOCG under organic certification since 2015.
