History
The d'Alessandro family founded the estate in 1967, buying much of the Manzano farm at Cortona.
In 1988, with Prof. Attilio Scienza, they planted experimental Syrah, later confirmed as ideally suited to the Val di Chiana.
The Cortona DOC was recognized in 1999; the estate has been certified organic since 2016.
