History
Talenti was founded in 1980 when Pierluigi Talenti — the winemaker long associated with the revival of Brunello at Il Poggione — bought the Pian di Conte estate near Sant'Angelo in Colle, land he had fallen for since arriving from Romagna in the 1950s.
Since 1999 the estate has been led by his grandson Riccardo Talenti, who blends the founder's traditional approach with newer techniques.
Set on about 40 hectares with 21 under vine, Talenti makes Brunello di Montalcino, the Riserva Pian di Conte and Rosso di Montalcino.
