History

San Gabriele Arcangelo, known as Cuccuvaia, was built in the 1990s at Cinigiano by two friends, an Italian doctor and an architect from Greece, on four hilltop plots.

Certified organic, it makes a Montecucco Sangiovese of pure Sangiovese, aged a year longer than the norm.
