History
Tenuta Rubbia al Colle is the red-wine estate of the Muratori family's Arcipelago Muratori project, at Suvereto in the Val di Cornia of the Livorno Maremma.
The family arrived in the Val di Cornia at the end of the 1990s and bought 100 hectares, planting about 72 to red grapes between 1999 and 2002 - Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo alongside Merlot, the Cabernets and Syrah.
Its flagship 'Olpaio', a Merlot-led Suvereto DOCG made since the 2000 vintage, is aged first in French and American barrique, then in large Slavonian casks.
