History

Poggiotondo was founded in 1968 when Carlo Antonini, passionate about farming and beekeeping, bought an estate with three hectares of vines in western Chianti.

His son, the traveling winemaker Alberto Antonini, runs the estate today; the vineyards have been certified organic since 2014.
