History
Valter Surbone took over Poggio Gagliardo at Montescudaio in 1969 and began planting vines in the early 1970s, before the Montescudaio DOC of 1976.
It works sixty-five hectares of the Etruscan wine hills of Pisa, in the Montescudaio denomination.
