History

Tenuta di Nozzole is a large Greve in Chianti estate whose farmland is documented back to the 1300s. Nino Folonari bought it in 1971, adding it to the family's Tuscan holdings, and in 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari founded the company that runs it today.

The estate is known for powerful, Sangiovese-based Chianti Classico, and from 1987 for the Cabernet Sauvignon Super Tuscan Il Pareto, from a single vineyard planted in 1981.

Nozzole spans 385 hectares with roughly 90 hectares of vineyard and 15 of olive groves in the Greve hills.
