History

Le Gode sits on the Montosoli hill north of Montalcino, one of the zone's most prized sites. The family has owned the land since 1960, when Claudio's grandfather Ilano laid the groundwork.

The estate bottled its first official Brunello in 1995, and works its vineyards with minimal intervention and biological practices.

Across about 16 hectares — six of them for Brunello — Claudio and his family make classic Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino.
