History

La Piccola Cantina was founded in 1960 by the married couple Ghino and Miriana Del Buono in the Cervognano hills of Montepulciano, initially producing bulk table wine for local sale.

The second generation, Cinzia and Claudio Del Buono, moved the estate into estate bottling, focusing on Sangiovese and Cabernet grown on the family's rocky hillside plots, hand-harvested and aged roughly three years in barrique before release.
