History
La Palazzetta had long been in the Fanti family when, in 1984, Flavio Fanti inherited his father's farm and, with his wife Carla Visconti, chose to focus on wine, starting with just one hectare.
The estate lies at Castelnuovo dell'Abate, south-east of Montalcino near the historic Sant'Antimo abbey, and now stretches over 20 hectares of vineyard and 3,000 olive trees, all organically farmed.
Run today by Flavio and Carla with their daughter Tea and son Luca — who turned the farm to organic and vegan practices — it makes Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino.
