History

Seventeen growers of the original Chianti - Castellina, Gaiole and Radda - founded the cooperative Geografico at Gaiole in Chianti in 1961; the Piccini family took it over from 2015.

Its members work some hundred and sixty hectares of Chianti Classico, and the cellar bottles the Gallo Nero alongside Colli Senesi and San Gimignano wines.
