Gattavecchi

History

Founded by Vincenzo Gattavecchi; the family has made wine for over a century.

After the second world war the estate was revitalised in the late 1940s by Valente Gattavecchi and his mother Sidonia.

In 1958 the family bought the historic Simoneschi Baroncelli underground cellar beneath the church of Santa Maria dei Servi, part of the 14th-century Convento dei Padri Serviti.

Today the fourth generation, brothers Luca and Gionata with sister Daniela and their mother Gianna, runs the winery.
