History
Ofelio Fattoi, who had worked at the Poggio alle Mura estate (today Banfi), bought his own property at Santa Restituta, in the south-west of Montalcino, around 1965, and began producing Brunello in 1979.
The estate, facing the Ombrone and Orcia rivers near the church of Santa Restituta, has been built up through hard work into a small-to-medium winery.
Ofelio's sons Leonardo and Lamberto now run the traditional, family-conducted estate, about 10 hectares of Sangiovese.
