History
Corte dei Venti grew from the Piancornello farm that Clara Monaci's grandfather bought in 1943, at first for general farming and later turning to viticulture in the south of Montalcino.
The estate lies in the warm 'red lands' between Sant'Angelo Scalo and Castelnuovo dell'Abate, and takes its name — 'Court of the Winds' — from the breezes that blow constantly across its vineyards.
Clara Monaci runs the estate, making Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino from these southern slopes.
