History
In 1892 Count Venceslao Spalletti, a senator of the Kingdom of Italy, bought the Colognole and Lucciano estates.
From 1912 his sons turned Colognole to vines and olives; in the 1930s the family built the Cantine Spalletti at Rufina, a byword for quality Tuscan reds.
In the 1980s the family gave up the Spalletti cellar and name and concentrated on the Colognole estate.
