History
Tenuta di Collosorbo was created in 1995 when Giovanna Ciacci divided it from her family's estate, Tenuta di Sesta, in the south of Montalcino. The Ciacci family had held the land since the 19th century, and Giuseppe Ciacci had been among the founders of the Brunello consortium.
Giovanna runs the estate with her two daughters, the oenologist and viticulturist Laura Sutera Sardo and Lucia Sutera Sardo on the commercial side, keeping the family crest as a link to the past.
Collosorbo makes Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino from vineyards between Sant'Angelo in Colle and Castelnuovo dell'Abate.
