History
Castello di Bossi, at Castelnuovo Berardenga in south-eastern Chianti Classico, has ancient roots — a Roman settlement, a first castle tower dated 1099 and a quadrilateral fortification by 1450.
In 1984 the estate was acquired by the family of Marco Bacci, who still owns it and has made it a benchmark of Tuscan winemaking.
The 500-hectare property, with 120 hectares of vineyard at around 350 metres, is fully organic and solar-powered, and known for its Chianti Classico and the Riserva Berardo.
