History
A place of vines and olives recorded since the 14th century and mapped in a 1716 census, Candialle was bought in 2002 by Josephin Duckert (from a German brewing family) and the Finn Jarkko Peränen, who released their first wine that year.
Farmed organically from the start; in 2005 the Peränens joined other Panzano growers aiming to make it Italy's first 100% organic district.
