History

Azienda Agricola Cima was founded at Massa in 1980 and carries on five generations of Cima-family winegrowing on the steep Candia hills between Massa and Carrara.

Its vineyards sit between 70 and 250 metres, only about three kilometres from the Tyrrhenian sea, whose breezes lend the wines their salinity and freshness in a landscape of heroic, terraced viticulture.

The family champions the local grapes - Vermentino, the dark Vermentino Nero and Massaretta alongside Sangiovese and Merlot - behind the small Candia dei Colli Apuani DOC.
