History

The Australian oenologist Anna Martens and her husband Eric Narioo, an early natural-wine advocate, began making wine on Etna in 2008, in a corner of the Passopisciaro winery.

In 2010 they bought their first old-vine Nerello Mascalese plot and a 250-year-old palmento, restoring it as the home of Vino di Anna.

They farm biodynamically with minimal cellar intervention.
