After nearly twenty years at Andrea Franchetti's Passopisciaro, Carmelo Vecchio and his wife Rosa La Guzza set out on their own in 2016.

Rosa brought a hectare of alberello vines her family had tended for 130 years; the couple added vineyards and built a cellar at Contrada Malpasso.

They farm organically with minimal-intervention winemaking.
